About the Beach

Kymi Beach is a wide and impressive beach located right next to the major port of Kymi, which is often called the "Balcony of the Aegean" because it sits high on a hill overlooking the vast blue ocean. The beach itself is a mix of sand and stones and has very deep and clean water that is perfect for a long swim after you get off the ferry from the nearby islands. Because it is a working port area, there is always something interesting to see, from big ships coming in to local fishermen mending their nets on the docks, and the long waterfront is full of life and energy. The hills behind the beach are covered in green trees and olive groves, and the view of the open sea stretching out toward the horizon is truly spectacular, making it a great place to start your exploration of the rugged and mountainous eastern coast of Evia.
