Vythouri Beach Evia Central Evia

Chalkida Beach is not a typical swimming beach but is actually the famous urban waterfront and promenade of the city where the land meets the narrow Euripus Strait. This is the place where you can see the "crazy waters" of Chalkida, which is a natural phenomenon where the sea current changes direction every few hours, moving first to the north and then to the south in a very powerful and mysterious way. The waterfront is lined with hundreds of busy cafes, bars, and restaurants that are filled with people at all hours of the day and night, making it the most social and exciting part of the whole island of Evia. While most people come here to walk along the marble sidewalk and enjoy the view of the old bridge and the castle on the hill, it is the heart of the city's life and a perfect place to experience the energy of a real Greek coastal town with your family.
