About the Beach

Xylosyrtis is a long and peaceful pebble beach located just a few kilometers south of the capital, Agios Kirykos. It is well-known among locals for its natural spring called "Athanato Nero," which flows nearby and is said to have therapeutic properties. The beach itself is unorganized and stays very quiet, offering a lot of space for those who want a simple day by the water without the noise of beach bars. The sea is exceptionally clear and gets deep relatively quickly, making it a great spot for a refreshing and vigorous swim. Because it faces south, it is usually protected from the strong northern winds, resulting in very calm and flat water.
