Getting from Aegina to Serifos
If you are heading to Serifos from Aegina you are making your way to an island in the western Cyclades with a Chora that climbs a steep hill above the port in a way that looks almost impossibly dramatic from the water.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Aegina to Serifos. The most practical approach is to take the Saronic ferry from Aegina to Piraeus, which takes around 40 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes, and then board the Piraeus to Serifos ferry, which takes around 2 to 3 hours on the fast boat and runs several times daily in summer. Total journey time from Aegina is around 3 to 4 hours and is a very manageable connection.
Getting there by air
Serifos has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. The ferry from Piraeus is considerably more practical than flying for this route given the short crossing time.
Your best option
Take the Saronic ferry from Aegina to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Serifos ferry. It is the most direct and practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle and the connection is straightforward.
