Getting from Mykonos to Antiparos
So you're heading from Mykonos to Antiparos. Antiparos is a small island just off the west coast of Paros and the two are so closely connected that most people treat them as a pair. It is compact, relaxed and has attracted a quiet following over the years including a notable community of artists and writers who have built homes there. The main village is charming, the beaches are good and the cave at the southern end of the island is one of the more impressive natural sites in the Cyclades. It has none of the scale of its neighbours but that is entirely the appeal.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Mykonos to Antiparos. The way to do it is to take a ferry from Mykonos to Paros, which takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, and then hop across to Antiparos from Paros port. The crossing between Paros and Antiparos takes around 10 minutes and runs frequently throughout the day. It is a simple connection and adds very little time to the overall journey.
What about flying?
Antiparos does not have an airport so flying is not an option on this route. The ferry via Paros is your only way in. It is worth knowing that in Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights. Almost all island to island travel goes through Athens.
Your best option
Take the ferry to Paros and make the short hop across. If you are already stopping in Paros, Antiparos makes for a perfect day trip or an easy overnight. The two islands together give you more than either one does on its own.
