Getting from Mykonos to Paros

So you're heading from Mykonos to Paros. These two islands are neighbours in the Cyclades and this is one of the quickest and easiest hops you can do in Greece. No connections, no complicated routing, just a short ferry ride through some of the best scenery the Aegean has to offer.

If you are island hopping through the Cyclades, Paros is a natural next stop from Mykonos and the journey itself is painless.

Take the ferry

Direct ferries run between Mykonos and Paros regularly through the summer and the crossing takes around 1 to 1.5 hours on a fast ferry. This is one of the most connected routes in the Cyclades so you will have plenty of departure times to choose from. SeaJets and Hellenic Seaways both operate on this route. As with most popular Cyclades crossings, book ahead in July and August as seats fill up quickly.

What about flying?

There are no direct flights between Mykonos and Paros. If you wanted to fly you would be going Mykonos to Athens and then Athens to Paros, which is a journey of 4 hours or more for a crossing that takes just over an hour by ferry. Nobody does this and there is no reason to.

Your best option

Take the ferry. It is short, it is scenic, and it is one of the easiest travel days you will have in Greece. Book ahead in peak season and enjoy the ride.
