Getting from Paros to Folegandros
If you are heading to Folegandros from Paros you are making your way to a small clifftop island in the southern Cyclades with a Chora perched on the edge of a sheer drop above the sea and an atmosphere of genuine calm.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Paros to Folegandros running several times a week in summer and less frequently in winter, taking around 2 to 3 hours depending on the vessel and the stops along the way. Most sailings route through Ios or Santorini. Check the schedule before planning around it as the frequency is limited outside of peak summer.
Getting there by air
Folegandros has no airport. The nearest airport is Santorini. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Santorini takes around 45 minutes, followed by the short ferry to Folegandros taking around 1 hour 30 minutes. Total travel time adds significant complexity compared to the direct ferry.
Your best option
Take the direct ferry from Paros. It is the most practical approach and avoids going through Athens entirely. Check the schedule in advance as the frequency is limited outside of summer.
