Getting from Rhodes to Agistri

If you are heading to Agistri from Rhodes you are making your way to the smallest of the Saronic islands, to the northwest. It is almost entirely covered in pine forest with good beaches and clear water close to Athens.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Rhodes to Agistri. Getting there means taking the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus and then connecting onto the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Agistri, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes with up to 15 daily departures in summer.

Getting there by air

Agistri has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Agistri takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Fly to Athens and take the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Agistri. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus is the practical choice as it saves the cost and complexity of shipping a vehicle separately.
