Getting from Rhodes to Parga
If you are heading to Parga from Rhodes you are making your way to a Venetian-built harbour town on the Epirus coast, on the opposite side of Greece. It faces the Ionian Sea with good beaches and a relaxed waterfront atmosphere.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Rhodes to Parga. It is a mainland coastal town with no connection to the Dodecanese ferry network. Getting there means taking the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus and then travelling by road northwest to Parga, which takes around 5 to 6 hours from Athens.
Getting there by air
Parga has no airport. The nearest airport is Preveza, around 65 kilometres south. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then Athens to Preveza takes around 50 minutes, followed by a taxi or bus to Parga taking around 1 hour. Total travel time is around 4 to 5 hours.
Your best option
Fly to Preveza via Athens and take a taxi or bus to Parga. It is the fastest and most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus is the practical choice, then drive northwest to Parga from Athens.
