Getting from Rhodes to Naxos
If you are heading to Naxos from Rhodes you are making your way to the largest island in the Cyclades, to the northwest. It has a medieval Venetian town above the port, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a mountainous interior of marble villages.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Rhodes to Naxos. Getting there means taking the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus and then connecting onto the Naxos service, which takes around 3 to 5 hours from Piraeus.
Getting there by air
Both Rhodes and Naxos have airports. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then Athens to Naxos takes around 45 minutes. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Fly to Naxos via Athens. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus is the practical choice, then take the ferry from Piraeus to Naxos.
