About the Beach

Ammoudi Beach is a beautiful and very popular sandy cove located on the south coast near the village of Lefkogia that is surrounded by big green trees that provide some nice natural shade. The sand is a light golden color and the water is a bright turquoise that looks amazing against the dark rocks that stick out of the sea on both sides of the bay. It is a very friendly place where people come to relax and swim in the calm water of the Libyan Sea, and there is even a small scuba diving school right on the sand if you want to learn how to breathe underwater. Because the beach is tucked away between two rocky points, the water stays very quiet and easy to swim in, making it a favorite spot for anyone who wants a relaxing day in a place that looks like a tropical paradise far away.
