About the Beach

Skinaria Beach is a small and rocky beach tucked away in a quiet cove on the south coast of Crete that is famous among divers for having some of the clearest water in the entire Mediterranean Sea. The bottom of the ocean here is covered in big rocks and underwater caves which means the water stays perfectly transparent and you can see a huge variety of colorful fish, moray eels, and even octopuses just by looking down from the surface. It is a very peaceful and rugged spot with a small taverna and a few umbrellas, making it the perfect destination for anyone who loves to explore the world under the water or just wants to swim in a place that feels completely clean and wild.
