About the Beach

Kaminia is a small and very friendly beach located in the quiet fishing village of Kamini, which is about a fifteen-minute coastal walk from the main port of Hydra. The beach is mostly pebbled and the water is very shallow and clear, making it a top choice for families with young children or anyone who prefers a very easy entry into the sea. The atmosphere here is much more relaxed and local than the main harbor, with traditional fishing boats bobbing in the nearby small port. There are several great seafood tavernas just a few steps away from the water where you can have a long lunch under the sun. It’s a very accessible and charming spot that captures the slower pace of island life, offering a quiet alternative to the more crowded swimming platforms closer to the center of town.
