About the Beach
Vlichos is a long stretch of grey pebbles just a short walk or water taxi ride from the main harbor. The water is clear and the seabed is mostly stone, so it’s a good idea to have some footwear for the entry. It’s one of the more developed spots on the island, with rows of sunbeds and a few tavernas nearby where the food is simple and traditional. There is a distinctive stone bridge and a small chapel nearby that give the area a very classic, picturesque feel. The walk from the main town takes about thirty minutes and offers some great coastal views along the way. It’s a reliable choice for an easy day out where you have everything you need within reach.
