Getting from Naxos to Mykonos
If you are heading to Mykonos from Naxos you are making a short hop to a neighbouring island in the Cyclades, one of the most frequently travelled connections in the group.
Take the ferry
The Naxos to Mykonos ferry runs year-round with multiple daily departures in summer. The trip takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour on the fast catamaran and around 2 hours on a conventional vessel. It is one of the most frequent connections in the Cyclades and you rarely need to book far in advance except on peak summer weekends.
Getting there by air
Both Naxos and Mykonos have airports. There are no direct flights between the two islands. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights. The ferry is the obvious and more practical choice on this route.
Your best option
Take the ferry. It is direct, frequent and one of the easiest hops in the Aegean. If you are travelling with a car, the ferry takes vehicles and runs frequently enough that you rarely need to book far in advance.
