Getting from Naxos to Skiathos

If you are heading to Skiathos from Naxos you are making your way to an island in the Sporades group, in the northern Aegean. It has over 60 beaches and a lively harbour town.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Naxos to Skiathos. Getting there means taking the ferry from Naxos to Piraeus and then travelling by road to Agios Konstantinos for the Sporades ferry, which takes around 3.5 hours to Skiathos. The total journey by sea and road takes the better part of two days.

Getting there by air

Both Naxos and Skiathos have airports. Flying from Naxos to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Skiathos takes around 45 minutes. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Fly to Skiathos via Athens. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, take the ferry from Naxos to Piraeus and then drive to Agios Konstantinos for the ferry to Skiathos.
