Getting from Naxos to Skopelos
If you are heading to Skopelos from Naxos you are making your way to an island in the Sporades group, in the northern Aegean. It has a densely forested coastline and a Chora of white houses and slate roofs climbing steeply above the port.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Naxos to Skopelos. Getting there means taking the ferry from Naxos to Piraeus and then travelling by road to Agios Konstantinos for the Sporades ferry, which takes around 3 to 4 hours to Skopelos. The total journey by sea and road takes the better part of two days.
Getting there by air
Skopelos has no airport. The nearest airport is Skiathos, which has connections from Athens. Flying from Naxos to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Skiathos takes around 45 minutes, followed by the ferry to Skopelos taking around 1 hour. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Fly to Skiathos via Athens and take the ferry across to Skopelos. It is the most time efficient approach. If you are travelling with a car, take the ferry from Naxos to Piraeus and then drive to Agios Konstantinos for the ferry to Skopelos from there.
