Getting from Naxos to Serifos
If you are heading to Serifos from Naxos you are making your way to an island in the western Cyclades. It has a Chora that climbs a steep hill above the port in a way that looks almost impossibly dramatic from the water.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Naxos to Serifos running several times a week in summer and less frequently in winter, taking around 2 to 3 hours depending on the vessel and the stops along the way. Check the schedule before planning around it as the frequency is limited outside of peak summer.
Getting there by air
Serifos has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Naxos to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then the ferry from Piraeus to Serifos takes around 3 hours on the fast service. Total travel time adds significant complexity compared to the direct ferry.
Your best option
Take the direct ferry from Naxos. It is the most practical approach and avoids going through Athens entirely. If you are travelling with a car, the same direct ferry applies as it takes vehicles.
