Getting from Rhodes to Fournoi
If you are heading to Fournoi from Rhodes you are making your way to a cluster of small fishing islands between Ikaria and Samos in the eastern Aegean.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Rhodes to Fournoi running a few times a week, with the trip taking around 6 to 8 hours. The Dodekanisos Express also serves the route seasonally via Ikaria, though it runs less frequently than the main ferry. Check the schedule before planning around it and build your travel dates around the available departures.
Getting there by air
Fournoi has no airport. The nearest airports are Ikaria and Samos. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then Athens to Ikaria takes around 50 minutes, followed by the local ferry to Fournoi taking under 1 hour. Total travel time is around 4 to 5 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the direct ferry when the schedule works for your dates. It saves going through Athens entirely. If the timing does not align, fly via Athens to Ikaria and take the short local ferry across to Fournoi.
